Beginner Gun Dog Workshop

What to expect: After competing this workshop, you should have the basic understandings/training necessary to continue working on your own as well as participate in our group practice and drills courses.
We will begin with classroom instruction followed by hands on application with your dog, a break, followed by classroom instruction once again and more hands on application.
In this course you will learn how to get your dog started on a path toward filed/hunt training. You will learn the basic concepts/methods and tools used to train your dog through positive-based, UK style, non e-collar methods and you will have the opportunity to apply what you have learned in hands on training with your dog.
What is required of you: You will learn the basic skills necessary during the workshop, but you will need to continue practicing & training with your puppy/dog after the workshop is over. Please be prepared to dedicate time to practicing with your puppy/dog to reinforce what you learn in this workshop.
Prerequisites: Your puppy/dog must be at least 6 months old at the time of the first class. Open to all breeds.
What to bring: Bring a kennel, water and dish, whistle, appropriate leash & collar for your dog and dog treats, bumpers with scent or pheasant feathers.
Class Size: Limited to 25
*NOTE: Your dog must be up-to-date on all vaccinations/health precautions. Please also note we will work rain or shine so dress accordingly. Class will only be canceled in cases of extreme weather conditions (ie. tornado, lightening, etc.) or some other unforeseen emergency/illness in which case we will re-shchedule the class to make up for it.
