Dates: Nov. 28th, Dec. 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th & Jan. 2nd.
Location: At our Country Clips Location. This course is taught both inside our warming shelter as well as working dogs outside. (Your gun dog, should be able to be outside for an hour in the cold working, as these are the same as hunting conditions which last into January.) Please dress accordingly!
Often times with drills the easiest way to learn is by doing! Therefore we offer this hands on, intensive learning course for beginner gun dogs. Every class day a new drill or set of drills will be taught and run with your dog.
What is required of you: You will learn the basic skills necessary during class, but you will need to practice with your puppy/dog outside of class, in between sessions, and after the class is over continue practicing & training. Please be prepared to dedicate time daily to practicing with your puppy/dog.
Prerequisites: Your puppy/dog must be at least 6 months old and have all of his/her adult teeth in, at the time of the first class as well as already have basic sit/stay skills. Please see our vaccination requirements as well.
What to bring: Proper equipment will be discussed at first course day.
Class Size: Limited to 10 handler/dog teams
