Fear Class (2): Leash Reactivity [6 weeks indoor/outdoor course]
Open To: All Breeds & Mixed Breeds
Dates: Thursdays: May 23rd, 30th, and June 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th
Time: 8:30-9:30 pm
Location: At our downtown Barn Hunt Location. This course is taught inside as well as outside for dogs who progress quickly through the class. ***NOTE: Please leave your dog in your vehicle on the day of class until you are asked to bring your dog in.
What to expect: This class is for dogs who are reactive on leash. If you have a dog that shows signs of anxiety, fear, reactivity, aggression etc. while on a leash, this class is for you! You will learn the skills necessary to train your dog to be calm and relaxed while on a walk on leash with other dogs or people around.
Prerequisite: You must be physically capable of controlling your dog at all times. If you have any physical ailments that prohibit you from being able to maintain complete control over your dog this class will not work for you. Your dog must also be completely healthy with no physical ailments (example: no hip issues, back issues, breathing issues, etc.) which would hinder the training process. You must also be 18+ yrs old at time of the first class.
What to Bring: You will need a flat buckle collar and a 6ft leash (Cannot be a breakaway collar! This is important!). You will also need high value treats. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing with sturdy footing.
NOTE: This course works great for TWO handlers to each dog. If you have another person who you trust to work with your dog and who your dog knows and trusts, bringing an additional person along can be very beneficial.
